What does "맺으며" mean in the legal context?
It has been many years since I came across this word, but it came up again today when I was reviewing an old Korean legal brief. It was located near the end of the brief. I remembered how difficult it was for me to figure this out for the first time, and thought it was a good thing to share.
맺으며 = 맺음말 = closing remarks / concluding remarks
It could also be translated as “in closing.”
However, in this case, it was the title of the section or paragraph, so closing remarks or concluding remarks seemed most appropriate.
